Riders park on Patriot Avenue opposite Shelter “A”.
Special Safety Information: Mountain Creek Parkway north from I-20 is
open, but still under construction. It is recommend you do NOT use that end of
Mountain Creek Parkway.
Currently, the best avenue of approach is to: (1) take Loop 12 south of
I-30, transition to Spur 408 and exit on Kiest Blvd., turning right (west) on
Kiest; (2) Via I-20, go north on Spur 408, exiting on Kiest, turning left
(west); go over the hill, by the college, to the stoplight; turn right on Mountain
Creek Parkway. This will take you to the front of DFW National Cemetery.
Weather: The weather is expected to be near 101 degrees F, humid and clear.
The weather presents a serious need for hydration by all participants.
Drink adequate amounts of water and or electrolyte enhanced liquid prior to and
during the mission.
Iron Horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated. The
Support Truck with flags and water will be there.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, with honor and
respect for this veteran and his family.
