PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Confirmed Mission - Major General Joe S. Lawrie (Ret) - March 3, 2009

[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

The family of Major General Joe S. Lawrie, United States Army (Ret) has
asked the Patriot Guard to participate in a memorial service for him on
March 3, 2009.  The service will be held at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home
in Dallas at 2:00 P.M.  General Lawrie's final command prior to his
retirement was as Commanding General of the 82nd Airborne Division during
the Vietnam Era.  General Lawrie was a "Mustang," military slang for an
officer who started in the enlisted ranks and came up from there.

 

A final itinerary will be posted as soon as possible.

 

Let's all stand tall and silent for this career service man.
