[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

PFC Pratt KIA Mission July 30 and 31 in Oklahoma

 

 

This mission consists of several parts.  PFC Pratt will be flown in at12:15
PM on Thursday, 7/30/09 at Henry Post Field on Ft. Sill.


The first part from Duncan, OK is listed below under "MISSION PART 1-A".
This is for riders that want to ride from Duncan, OK to Lawton, OK and
escort Private Pratt back to Duncan.  This is where he will be for family
and friend visitation.

 

Below this section is the staging for those meeting in Lawton and riding in
the escort from Fort Sill back to Duncan. 

 

Anyone wanting to ride escort Thursday will need to be either in Duncan at
9:30 AM for MISSION PART 1-A or in Lawton at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral
Home, located at 6210 Cache Road, at 11:00 AM Thursday morning.  I will
include the note from the Lawton Ride Captain as " MISSION PART 1-B".  (I
won't know until tomorrow if I will be able to make it Thursday or not, but
if anyone who for sure knows they are going to either Lawton or Duncan will
let me know I will set you up with a meeting time and place to leave from
Wichita Falls.)

 

Friday - For those wanting to help escort the family from Duncan to Fort
Sill for the funeral service, the note below from Chief and Brenda addressed
as "RIDERS" will apply.  

 

Those wishing to go straight from Wichita Falls to the funeral service on
Fort Sill Friday afternoon - We will leave from Red River Harley Davidson at
11:15 AM Friday morning.   This will be "MISSION PART 2" as listed below.

 

The Oklahoma ride captains are Cindy "Sisko" Stroud in Lawton and in Duncan
it will be David "Davesharley" Richards. 

 

 

Mission Part 1-A

 

Duncan escort

 

PFC Pratt will be flown in at 12:15 PM on Thursday 7/30/09 at Henry Post
Field on Ft Sill.*

 

Staging - 9:30am at Abe Raizen Park 

Briefing - 9:45am

KSU - 10:00am

 

Directions:  Coming into Duncan from either north or south from 81 highway -
get onto highway 7 east.  Travel east to Eastland Dr. (caution lights).  If
coming from west and using the bypass you will stay on the bypass to
Eastland Dr.  From the east the first set of lights coming into town is
Eastland Dr.  From Eastland Drive and highway 7, turn north to "T"
intersection (Chestnut St).  Turn west one block to North N St.  Turn north
on N street.  Abe Raizen park will be on your right.

MISSION PART 1-B
  
Staging in Lawton at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Home 6210 NW Cache Rd
 
Staging - 11:00 AM
Briefing -  11:15 AM
KSU - 11:30 AM
 
We will escort to the air field and escort back to the funeral home for a
private family service with flag line.

 

 

RIDERS, 

 

THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE AS FAR AS INSTRUCTIONS GO FOR NOW.  THE FUNERAL WILL BE
FRIDAY AT 2:00 P.M. AT THE FT SILL CHAPEL WITH WINERY-HUDDLESTON IN CHARGE
OF ARRANGEMENTS. 

 

TO ESCORT THE FAMILY, WE WILL: 

 

STAGING AT ABE RAIZNER PARK ON NORTH "N" ST:  12:00 NOON

BRIEFING:        12:15 P.M.

KSU:                12:30 P.M.

 

WE WILL PICK THE FAMILY UP AT THE PARENTS RESIDENCE, ESCORT THEM TO THE
FUNERAL

HOME AND DO  THE FLAG LINE THERE.  AFTER SERVICES, WE WILL ESCORT PRIVATE
PRATT

& HIS FAMILY TO THE CEMETERY AND SETUP ANOTHER FLAG LINE. 

 

RULES FOR ENTERING FT SILL BASE:  FULL MOTORCYLE GEAR:  PROTECTIVE EYEWARE
OR SHIELD, HELMET, FULL FINGER GLOVES, BOOTS OVER THE ANKLE, LONG SLEEVE
SHIRT AND A REFLECTIVE VEST OR BELT. 

NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

IF ANYONE FROM DUNCAN WANTS TO ESCORT THE FAMILY PART OF THE WAY BUT NOT GO
ON TO THE BASE OR  DOES NOT WANT TO DO THE ENTIRE ROUTE, PLEASE DROP OFF ANY
TIME THAT YOU NEED TO.

MISSION PART 2
 
Staging area for Friday funeral.  Frontier Chapel, 4121 Thomas Road, on Ft.
Sill (between Ft. Sill Blvd and Sheridan Rd. by the hospital).  We will park
across the street from the Chapel.

Briefing - 1315
Flag Line - 1330
 
Following the funeral we will escort to the burial site and form a final
