PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Medal of Honor Weekend FYI

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

I have information on something that will be going on during the Medal of
Honor recipient's weekend in Gainesville that is not a part of the PGR
events but is nonetheless interesting and something some of you may want to
take part in on your own.

 

On Saturday night, there will be a movie premier in Gainesville.  The movie
is directed by a two time Emmy award winning director and was made from
footage of last year's Medal of Honor celebration in Gainesville.  The
premier will be a red carpet event in Gainesville.  Black tie, spotlights,
limos, the whole thing.  It is professionally done in every sense of the
word and the movie is already being courted by HBO, The History Channel,
Disney and others for distribution and broadcast rights.  The recipients
will, of course, be in attendance, as will other important people from the
movie business, etc.  Tickets are on sale now for the premiere on the
merchandise page of the movie web site.

 

The movie features Medal of Honor recipient John Finn, a veteran of WWII,
who received his medal for actions at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

page for additional info.  By the way, the movie company set the price of
the tickets, not the Gainesville people.  You will see 99 year young Mr.
Finn in the trailer for the movie and Mr. Finn, barring a medical episode of
some sort between now and then, will be at this year's event and will be one
of the recipients we will be escorting from the airport on April first.  You
