Assisting with Escort

Several riders from North Texas PGR will be assisting in the final leg of an escort being conducted by East Texas PGR. ETPGR will be escorting a contingent of Henderson County WWII Veterans coming from Athens to Waxahachie. These veterans will be joining the Ellis County WWII Honor Flight to Washington, DC being conducted on Wednesday. 



The East Texas riders are departing Athens Tuesday evening October 20, 2009 at 1700 hrs from the First State Bank Parking lot 130 E Corsicana Street, Athens. There will be a LEO escort to the city limits. The next confirmed LEO will be Waxahachie PD on Hwy 287 at the city limits.



We will pick up the escort at the intersection of Interstate 45 and Highway 31, we will meet on the North East side of I-45,

this will also be the staging area. staging time will be 1700 hours.

The final destination for the escort will be the Hampton Inn, 2010 Civic Center Lane, Waxahachie,

This will be a 38 mile escort and should take about 45 minutes. 



For those riders who would like to participate in this escort please check your tire pressures, lights and dress warmly because the ride home will be cool and windy. Safety is number one.
