Comments: - Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated. - Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for this patriot and their family. - Please remember that our parking area is now on the main road between shelters A and B. Funerals are being staged at the Administration building and in the area by the lake. We will park facing up the hill toward shelter A with 2 bikes side by side as close to the curb and each other as possible so that traffic can get by. This arrangement keeps the motorcycle and voice noise to a minimum around the shelters during the services and appears to meet the needs of the cemetery. We will assemble in this area and not around the shelters until it is time to move to the shelter to set up for the service. Exceptions to this parking arrangement are, as always, made for those who have difficulty walking. Lawrence Aldrich - 27Jan 2010 Message-ID: <8CC6CD13CFB8B53-2DFC-4FD@webmail-m047.sysops.aol.com> Early Morning Escort The family of Sergeant Lawrence Lee Aldrich has asked the Patriot Guard to escort his remains from DFW Airport to Greenwood Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Sgt. Aldrich will be arriving at DFW at 5:30 am tomorrow, Wednesday 27 January. This is a last minute change, but it is a family request that we will honor. Due to the weather forecast of a possibility of rain and also this being a non-LEO escort of PGR riders only in the morning traffic we are asking for big flag bikes to do the escort. We will never turn down a non flag bike but are doing this as a rider precaution due to weather and traffic. We will stage at the service station on the South end of the Airport at 4:30 am. To reach the station you would need to enter the south entrance of the Dallas Fort Worth Airport and take the first exit to the right just past the Airport sign, the station will be on your right. We will depart for the Airport Security building about 4:45 am. Airport Security will assign us a pickup location and we will proceed to that location and wait for Security and the Coach to arrive. The procession with the family will not stop, we will take up the lead position on the move. The exact route will not be known until tomorrow morning. The destination is Greenwood Funeral Home, on the corner of University Drive and White Settlement Road. This escort will be approximately 25 miles and take around 30 minutes, speed will not exceed 55 mph. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly.
