color:blue'>As it is Memorial Day I thought it was fitting that I share with
you a story that a few are familiar with and some are not and it has to do with
our friend and late PGR brother and Veteran Gary Maddux.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";
color:blue'><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";
color:blue'>Almost immediately after Gary’s accident that night a lady, a
fellow motorist, stopped at the scene. She didn’t witness the
collision itself but was there very, very soon after. She went over to
Gary to see if she could help him but found that there was nothing she could
do. She stayed at the scene and did her best and did everything a
responsible citizen should do in such a circumstance. But she didn’t
stop there. She wanted to keep up with what happened to the person she
later found out was Gary and wanted to make sure that he wasn’t alone in
this world and that he would be properly cared for. She was relieved when
she found out that he did have a loving and caring family and she also learned
about the PGR. She contacted us shortly after the accident via one of our
riders and we let Rita know about her, etc. Her name is Sara.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

color:blue'><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";
color:blue'>As it happens, Sara was planning a trip in the not too distant
future to Washington, D.C. and was, as a part of that trip, going to see the
Wall. She asked if it was OK if she did a little something for Gary at
the wall and found that it was, indeed, OK. She has completed that trip,
just very recently returning, and she sent a photo of what she did for Gary.
The photo first, of course, went to Gary’s family and I asked Sara’s
permission if I could tell a little of her story and share the photo with the
North Texas riders and she has given her permission.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

color:blue'>So as we remember during this Memorial Day weekend, here is a great
remembrance of Gary. It was done by a stranger. Someone who had
never seen him before that tragic night. Sara doesn’t ride a
motorcycle, she’s not in the PGR, doesn’t know the family, or any
of that. She’s just a very nice, kind and first class individual
who was concerned for her fellow man when she saw him in distress and cared
enough in her heart to want to make sure he was properly cared for.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

humble lady. I have told her how proud we all are of her. I am
confident that this brief story of her truly selfless acts will inspire you as
